How I work:
I show up at least a hour ahead of time to scope things out and get a lay of the land. I perform a second check of check my equipment while I walk around and make sure everything is ready and working. I always carry spares of everything from memory cards to batteries and flashes. I meet up with you where and when you want and go over the details and what you want or need of me. Put our camera’s clocks in sync and I go handle what you hired me to do. I’m very flexible and not really interested in building my portfolio. I tend to be more concerned with making the day go as smoothly as possible for both of us. Yes, I can associate shoot and have shot my own weddings as a lead and as a solo shooter so I totally understand where you are and what you need.
My attitude towards being a second shooter is whatever the lead needs is priority one. You want me to go fetch you a bottle of water? No problem. You need me to hold the bride’s shoes and bouquet while you pose them and snap those important bridal photos? Done. You hate walking up to people at the reception dinner and taking couples photos? I got it. Need detail photos? Say no more. Need me to go into a room of half naked & half intoxicated groomsmen and put them in gear & get photos? I’ll be right back with a group of dressed and ready men. Need me to carry your flash on a stand around? Easy enough. Forgot your flash remote and use Nikon? I have a spare you can use.
Delivery of work:
If you do not use XQD compatible cards it’s not an issue. I can bring a XQD adapter for you to upload your files after the shoot to your laptop or I can upload the files to my host and you can download the photos. Uploading from the card to a computer usually takes around 5-10 minutes for 1,000 to 2,000 RAW files.
